I spent the 201314 with folks of strangers outside the door which is a good start for me.
Once on the subway, a Chinese uncle told us (me & roommate) that new year in Sweden is a celebration with friends and it would easier than Christmas for us. So I went out at 23.00, it’s kinda crazy for me, I went out without any purpose, any friend, any place. Haha, so I got Slussen and followed the big population flow to find something funny. First sight when I got the entrance, there were lots of cops and loud music. You can see “POLIS” everywhere and people everywhere. There was a band sing on the stage that ended the show 10 minutes before new year. After the concert, there were fancy fireworks everywhere and most people hold a bottle of wine, also a goblet, from which you can see swedes do really enjoy life. Some of them grab a balloon, some of them had drugs in their hand, some of them with bright makeups, some of them kissing with the lover, some of them waiting for the fireworks and some of them just waiting for the 00.00, like me.
They were counting, they were toasting and lots of things in my mind.
With so many happy people, I was a little bit homesick.
